for 1100 years - Kyoto
The whole city is a historical site...temples, gardens, the houses, the layout of the city itself.. I'm only sorry that I had not studied or read enough on its history beforehand - would have given the visit another depth.. great place.
Family run place - Totally home made - the most delicious ramen in the world!
Colour explosion!
The palace isn't interesting at all - just looked really good at this precise time of the day when the sun started setting.. the landscape absolutely luscious
Boat-shaped pine tree; one of the famous 5 pine trees in Japan - much, much more interesting than the kitch golden palace
Fishiminari Shrine - never ending tunnel of orange Torii gates - average of 2 hours takes to go around them all.. worth it everytime!!
The gates are gifts from the believers of the religion
They just looked so good
Arashiyama bamboo forest
Ramen, oden.. boat restaurant comes to you
Arashiyama
Arashiyama
Kyoto Keihan Hall
Ha! nice RWDP :)
This little one went to the market..
For fish - why not try the biggest fish market in the world?
For electrical goods, manga, toys and games - Akihabara; has everything, including 'Gundam cafe'..true.. - go on a Sunday; no cars allowed into the main part; brilliant.
