for 1100 years - Kyoto
The whole city is a historical site...temples, gardens, the houses, the layout of the city itself.. I'm only sorry that I had not studied or read enough on its history beforehand - would have given the visit another depth.. great place.

| Ryoanji temples's rock garden - there are total of 15 rocks but from any one view point in the garden; can one see all 15 of them at once (meaning that humans are not perfect and ought not to be greedy trying possess all..) - but it's meaning is free for your own intepretation. |

| The palace isn't interesting at all - just looked really good at this precise time of the day when the sun started setting.. the landscape absolutely luscious |
