Bagsvaerd Church

By metro to Bagsvaerd to visit Jorn Utzon's church. It stands on the main road of the surburban area, hidden only by the birch trees and surrounded by a band of green. Industrial characters.  The facade, white precast concrete tiles, changing from matt to shiny and smooth towards the top; apparently to express the church's ceiling in an abstract way. The interior was airy and bright with a corridor that wraps around the building, a space that connects the exterior and the interior; it lead me into the main room. Draped concrete curtain ceiling...almost like a tiny concert hall... It was definitely worth the early morning start..I enjoyed the white stained timber furniture and the glimpses of glazed tiles, too..
